Install the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".Note: Refer to the Operations and Maintenance Manual for the correct tire handling recommendations and tire inflation procedures.Note: Put identification on each tire and rim for installation purposes.

Position Tooling (A) under rear axle housing assembly (1). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Jacking Locations" for the correct placement of the lifting stands.
Use Tooling (A) to lift the rear of the machine until the weight is removed from the tire and rim. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1328, "Lift Group (Stand - 60 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A).

Remove locknut (4) from each of the two tire valves.
Remove four bolts (2) and the washers to remove bracket (3) and four spacers (5).

Using Tooling (B) to remove bolts (6) and the washers that hold tire and rim (7) to the rear wheel.Note: Four bolts (6) and the washers should be left on tire and rim (7), equally spaced, until a suitable tire handler can be positioned.

Position a suitable tire handler to support outer tire and rim (7), as shown. Remove four bolts (6) and the washers. The weight of tire and rim (7) is approximately 3750 kg (8250 lb).

Use a suitable lift truck to support ring (7A). Use Tooling (B) (not shown) to remove nuts (8) and the washers from ring (7A).
Remove ring (7A) from tire and rim (7). The weight of ring (7A) is approximately 96 kg (211 lb).

Remove four bolts (8A), the hard washers, and clamp assembly (9) from the rear wheel.

Remove bolts (11), the hard washers, brackets (12), and plate assemblies (10) from the rear wheel.

Remove the full nuts and the washers that hold tire and rim (13) to the rear wheel.Note: Four full nuts and the washers should be left on tire and rim (13), equally spaced, until a suitable tire handler can be positioned.
Position a suitable tire handler to support the inner tire and rim (13), as shown. Remove four full nuts and the washers. The weight of tire and rim (13) is approximately 3750 kg (8250 lb).
Remove the inner tire and rim from the rear wheel.
