(A) 2.23 m (7.3 ft)
(B) 1.52 m (5 ft) Objects are most likely to enter the blind spots of the machine when the machine has been stopped. To help prevent objects from entering a blind spot unnoticed, the Object Detection System activates when the key switch is turned to the ON position. The system remains in the active state when stationary after start-up. The system will remain in the active state until the machine meets the standby criteria when traveling forward. The system remains in the active state anytime the machine is traveling in reverse. The system will return to the active state automatically after the operator has brought the machine to a complete stop and has remained stopped for the reactivation delay time that has been configured, or changes the gear of the machine. The reactivation delay is used to stop the system from transitioning from the standby state to the active state while making short stops.
Identify the object and the location of the object before you move the machine. Failure to identify the object and the location of the object prior to moving the machine can result in product damage, personal injury, or death.
Note: Object detection sensor information will be used to determine the objects general quadrant (Front, Right, Rear, Left). The operator must use the camera for the designated machine quadrant in order to determine if the object is in the path of the machine and whether action is required.
Do not operate or work on this machine unless you have read and understand the instructions and warnings in the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Contact any Caterpillar dealer for replacement manuals. Proper care is your responsibility.
