Transmission Sump Screen
1. Remove the four cover bolts. Remove the cover and screen assembly. 2. Remove the screen retaining nut. Separate the screen from the cover. Wash the cover and screen in clean non-flammable solvent. Shake the screen to remove excess solvent. Allow the parts to dry. 3. Assemble the screen onto the cover. Replace the cover seal if it is damaged.4. Install the screen and cover assembly. Install the retaining bolts.Transfer Case Sump Screen
1. Remove the transfer case drain plug (A). Allow oil to drain. Remove the sump tube (B). 2. Remove the sump screen. Wash it in clean non-flammable solvent. Shake it to remove excess solvent. Allow it to dry.3. Replace any damaged screen or tube seals.4. Install the sump screen.5. Install the sump tube.6. Clean and install all drain plugs.Breather
1. Loosen the transmission breather cap retaining screw. Remove the breather cap. Remove the element.2. Wash the breather parts in clean, non-flammable solvent.3. Shake the element to remove excess solvent. Allow the parts to dry.4. Oil the element lightly. Install the element and the cap on the breather body. Tighten the retaining screw. 5. Remove the fill cap. Fill the transmission with oil. See REFILL CAPACITIES.6. Install the fill cap.
