A new extension assembly is available for the spark plugs in the above engines that are equipped with one of the following items:
an Engine Supervisory System
an ignition system with a magneto
a Caterpillar Ignition SystemThe new 207-4508 Extension As can be used as a direct replacement for the 123-8641 Extension As .The new 207-4508 Extension As includes the following improvements:
An O-ring seal provides better sealing between the extension and the ignition transformer.
An O-ring seal provides better sealing between the extension and the spark plug.
Increased spring force provides improved electrical continuity between the transformer and the top post of the spark plug.Maintenance

This illustration identifies the serviceable components of the new 207-4508 Extension As . (1) 125-1372 O-Ring Seal (2) 8L-2777 O-Ring Seal At every maintenance interval for the spark plugs, the O-ring seals on the extension assemblies should be inspected and/or replaced. Before you install the extension assembly, you should do the procedures that follow:
Thoroughly clean the extension assembly.
Apply a light coat of 151-1340 Dielectric Grease to the O-ring seals.
