Close the fuel supply valve on the right side of the machine.

Clean the outside of the secondary fuel filter (2) .
Turn drain valve (3) on the bottom of secondary fuel filter (2) counterclockwise in order to open the drain. Drain any water or sediment into a suitable container.
Close drain valve (3) .
Loosen fuel filter collar (1) .
Remove the filter element. Discard the filter element.
Clean the mounting base for the filter.
Remove the old seal. Replace the seal, if necessary. Use diesel fuel to coat the seal on the new filter.
Use your hand to install the new filter. Tighten fuel filter collar (1) in order to secure the filter.
Open the shutoff valve for the fuel.Note: Do not start the engine until all the necessary service to the fuel system section is completed. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System - Prime" for the engine starting procedure that follows service to the fuel system.
Start the engine and check the fuel system for leaks.
Close the engine compartment.
