Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.
Note: Inspect components for wear or damage. Replace components that are worn or damaged.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto body and canopy (1). The weight of body and canopy (1) is approximately 67000 kg (148000 lb). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side of body and canopy (1).Note: The approximate weight of body and canopy (1) does not include liners if the machine is equipped.

Install pin assemblies (17) partially into body and canopy (1). The weight of pin assembly (17) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb).

Install body and canopy (1).

Position washer (18) and install pin assembly (17).
Install plate (16). Install bolts (15).
Repeat Step 4 through Step 5 for the remaining pin assembly.

Connect position sensor (14).

Extend hoist cylinder (9). Position spacers (13) and install pin assembly (12). The weight of pin assembly (12) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb). Install plate (11) and bolts (10).
Remove Tooling (B).
Repeat Step 8 through 9for the remaining pin assembly.

Connect hose assembly (8). Install clips (9).
Repeat Step 11 for the remaining hose assembly.

Use a suitable lifting device to position rock ejector (4). The weight of rock ejector (4) is approximately 115 kg (254 lb).
Install washer (7), pin (6), and cotter (5).Note: Bend cotter (5) to retain the pin.
Repeat Step 13 and Step 14 for the remaining rock ejector.
Lower the rock ejector between the tires. Check for adequate clearance on both sides of the rock ejector.

Connect retaining cable (3). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side of the body and canopy.

Raise the truck body and install the retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install". Remove the suitable blocking.

Remove Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device from body and canopy (1). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side of body and canopy (1).End By:
Remove the retaining cable and lower the truck body. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install".
