Fig. at left shows back to back placing of angular gear.Fit angular ball bearing using key and hammer. (2) Place ring gear (6) with rear side facing up, degrease mating surface, dry then evenly apply liquid packing. * For reuse of this part screw M20 tap in threaded holes to remove locktite materials. (3) Screw M20 eyebolt into housing with angular ball bearing attached, then place it on ring gear using sling wire and crane. * Be sure to put the bolt holes of the housing and the ring gear in alignment. (4) Apply locktite on the threads of hexagon socket bolts (38). * Prior to putting locktite, degrease threads of bolts and ring gear, then dry. (5) Using a torque wrench tighten hexagon socket bolts to specified tightening torque. * Screw M10 bolt into ring gear front side screw hole and use it as a stopper. (6) Evenly apply liquid packing on mating surface of seal cover (43) and housing, align screw hole positions with housing then tighten hexagon socket bolts (40). * Always degrease before applying liquid packing. Also degrease threads and apply locktite on them. (7) Apply oil on floating seal (43) sliding surface. * Attach O-ring on seat without twisting. (8) Install floating seal (43) in seal cover (8) with a floating seal installer. * If the installer is not available press-fit with fingers. When installed, check to be sure the O-ring and seat are snugly fitted in the seal cover. (9) Apply small amount of oil on sliding surface. Install the other half of floating seal (43) in spindle (5) with a floating seal installer. (10) Lift so as ring gear side faces up then align angular ball bearing inner diameter with bearing fitting section of spindle. * Carefully lift the ring gear not to scratch the seal surfaces of the floating seal.* The M10 eyebolts should be screwed into the holes in the front side of the ring gear when lifting. (11) Press angular ball bearing (42) inner ring with jig and press until the bearing snugly seats on the spindle shoulder. * Be sure to apply the jig to the inner ring when press-fitting. (12) Measure the height difference, liter1, between the end surfaces of the angular bearing and spindle with a depth gauge. (13) Using a depth gauge measure the step difference, liter2, of set plate (17). (15) Install set plate (17) in position. (16) Apply locktite on hexagon socket bolts (40), then tighten them to the specified tightening torque. (17) Reassemble No.3 carrier (16). a. Fit needle cage (32) into No.3 planetary gear (23), then insert the planetary gear into No.3 carrier (16) together with side plate (29). b. Insert the No.3 pin into the No.3 carrier through the No.3 planetary gear. * Be sure the pin holes of 8 mm diameter in the No.3 pin and the No.3 carrier are in alignment when installed in position. c.
