The existing article is not correct. Refer to the following article for the corrected information.The STIC Upgrade Package for 994 Wheel Loaders includes a conversion of the transmission from a shift by cable to an electronic shift. The modulating valves for the clutches of the torque converter are also upgraded with the STIC Upgrade Package. The remanufactured transmissions and torque converters for 994 Wheel Loaders are no longer direct replacements for machines that have been upgraded with the STIC package.The conversion to an electrically shifted transmission for the 994 Wheel Loader makes the transmission identical to the electrically shifted transmission that is in the 994D Wheel Loader. The 0R-9547 Transmission that is used in the 994D can be used as a direct replacement for a 994 that has been upgraded with the STIC Upgrade Package.The remanufactured 0R-4087 Torque Converter for the 994 Wheel Loaders can be used with some modifications. The clutch modulating valves and the manifold should be removed from the original torque converter and installed in the remanufactured 0R-4087 Torque Converter. Remove the original 194-6254 Manifold from the original torque converter and install the 194-6254 Manifold in the remanufactured torque converter with new 8M-8514 O-Ring Seals. Install a new 183-2047 Modulating Valve and a new 129-6303 Modulating Valve with new 8S-0768 O-Ring Seals. Remove the 9U-8430 Sensor Rotor from the 0R-4087 Torque Converter Ar and install a 131-6172 Sensor Rotor. Note: The torque converters for the 994 and the 994D are not identical. The impeller clutch will not operate correctly if a 994D torque converter is used on a 994 that has the STIC Upgrade Package.
