Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Turn all switches to the OFF position.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Remove the disconnect switch key.
Remove the secondary steering fuse.
Disconnect the battery cable at the battery disconnect switch. The battery disconnect switch is connected to the machine frame.Note: Do not allow the disconnected battery cable to contact the battery disconnect switch.
Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery that is connected to the battery disconnect switch. If the machine has four 12 volt batteries, disconnect the negative battery cables of two batteries.
Make all of the necessary repairs or replace the battery.
Connect the negative battery cable at the battery.
Connect the negative battery cable at the battery that is connected to the battery disconnect switch.
Install the secondary steering fuse.
Connect the battery cable at the battery disconnect switch.
Install the disconnect switch key and turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
