Change Oil and Breather
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
The machine should be level. All equipment lowered with slight down pressure. Transmission lock lever and parking brake engaged and the engine stopped.Operate the machine long enough to warm the oil. 1. Remove the center drain plug (1). 2. Remove the breather. Wash the breather in clean, nonflammable solvent. Install the breather.3. Clean and install the drain plug.4. Remove the floorplate for access. 5. Fill the compartment. See "Refill Capacities". Measure the oil level on the dipstick. Install the fill cap.Hydraulic System
Change the Oil
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil can cause burns.Remove the fill cap only when the engine is stopped, and the cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.
Operate the machine long enough to warm the oil.The machine should be level. All implements lowered to ground with slight down pressure. Transmission lock lever and parking brake engaged, and the engine stopped.1. Remove the hydraulic system oil tank filler cap. 2. Open the drain valve, located under the right rear of machine. Allow the oil to drain.3. Close the drain valve.4. Change the hydraulic system filter. See "Hydraulic System Filter" in the "Every 500 Service Hours or 6 Months" section. 5. Fill the hydraulic system oil tank. See "Refill Capacities."6. Inspect the filler cap gasket. Replace the gasket if damaged.7. Install the oil filler cap.8. Start and run the engine for a few minutes.9. Maintain the oil level to the FULL mark in the sight gauge.10. Stop the engine.Winch (If Equipped)
Change Oil and Wash Breather

1. Remove oil fill plug (1). 2. Remove drain plug (2). Allow the oil to drain.3. Inspect the plug seal and replace if necessary.4. Clean and install the drain plug. 5. Fill with oil until oil is visible in the sight gauge (3). See "Refill Capacities."6. Clean and install the fill plug.7. With the engine running at LOW IDLE, maintain the oil level so that it is visible in the sight gauge. 8. Remove the breather on top of winch case. Wash it in clean, nonflammable solvent and install.PCV Valve (If Equipped)
Replace Diaphragms
Typical PCV valve shown.1. Clean the outside of the PCV valve and the area around it. Inspect PCV hose for deterioration of damage, replace if necessary.2. Remove the screws and washers that hold cover (1) in place.3.
