Note: Improper assemble of hose couplings can cause hose failure. Follow all instructions carefully.Note: For each hose end, a "coupling fitting" and "Pipe Connector" must be used.

Cut the hose with a piercing hose cutting tool not a crushing tool to the needed length.Note: Do not use a wire cutter or any other improper tool! Danger of damaging the hose by squeezing the inner lining!

Grease or oil the ends of the hose at the outer face and the inner threads on the coupling fitting.

Thread fitting onto hose until the end of the hose material is 17 mm (0.67 inch) from the open end of fitting refer to (Y) in Illustration 4. Fitting threads are left handed. If this is not done, either the inner liner will be crushed or grease will be allowed to flow around the inner liner and expand the hose.Note: Squeezing or allowing the hose to twist during assembly will cause damage to several of the hose layers. This can cause loss of pressure capabilities and form large bulges under the outer layer as shown in Illustration 5.Note: While assembling Coupling Fitting onto outer diameter of hose, hold hose by hand. If necessary, make a loop achieve better grip on hose. Do not use pliers or vise to hold hose during assembly.Note: Do not bottom out coupling fitting on hose material. If bottomed out, several hose layers could be damaged when threading the pipe connector into the coupling fitting.Note: Ensure that coupling fitting is on the hose material far enough. If not assembled on the hose far enough, the hose material could potentially come out of coupling fitting while under pressure during operation.

Grease or oil the pipe connector and then thread into the open end of fitting and tighten (right-hand thread) until bottomed out on collar. Repeat for both ends of hose. Use a wrench to hold the sleeve in place.
