BOLT-TO FRONT LIFTING PLATE THRU 5B2208 - Caterpillar

Description of Change: Improvements have been made on the junction boxes for all 3126 marine engines and industrial engines. The changes are following. The need to reroute the wires will be eliminated and the need to torque the terminals again will be eliminated. The start relay will have a protective cap that covers the terminals. The start relay is mounted with the terminals in the up position on the marine engines. This will allow you to properly torque the terminals. New torques are called out in illustration 1 for the junction box.

The identification is a green dot or an orange dot on the inside of the junction box.Adaptable To: The part numbers for the junction boxes are in Table 1. The junction boxes are updated with the improvements and the junction boxes are effective for all 3126 marine engines.
