Install the rocker arm assemblies onto the cylinder head.
Tighten bolts (11) through bolt (18) in a numerical sequence.Torque for bolts ... 270 25 N m (200 18 lb ft)
Again tighten bolts (11) through bolt (18) in a numerical sequence.Torque for bolts ... 450 20 N m (330 15 lb ft)
Finally tighten bolts (11) through bolt (18) in a numerical sequence.Torque for bolts ... 450 20 N m (3330 15 lb ft)
Tighten bolts (19). Use any tightening sequence.Torque for bolts ... 47 7 N m (34 5 lb ft)If equipped, use the following procedure in order to tighten the bracket for the fuel pump and the bracket for the timing cover to the cylinder heads:Note: The first four bolts (either cylinder head) toward the front of the engine are used in order to secure the brackets for the timing cover and the fuel pump to the engine.
Position the mounting brackets over the bolt holes that are in the cylinder head. Install the cylinder head bolts through the bracket. Finger tighten the bolts.
Align the fuel pump or the timing cover against the mounting brackets and install the mounting bolts. Finger tighten the bolts.
Tighten the cylinder head bolts.Torque for bolts ... 47 7 N m (34 5 lb ft)
Torque the mounting bolts for the fuel pump or the timing cover to the standard torque. (20) Tighten the exhaust manifold studs into each cylinder head to the following torque. ... 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft)
