Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock.
Park the machine on a flat, level surface. Lower the blade to the ground. Chock the wheels to keep the machine from rolling when the drive shaft is removed.
Release the parking brake to turn the center drive shaft.
Put alignment marks on all components for installation purposes.

Remove bolts (1) and the straps.Note: Discard bolts (1) after bolts (1) are removed.

Use two people to remove center drive shaft (3). The weight of center drive shaft (3) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Remove center drive shaft (3).Installation Procedure
When the center drive shaft is installed, it must be installed in phase with the front and rear drive shafts. Serious component damage could occur. Be certain that all the joint group, all the yokes, and all the lubricating fittings are aligned.
Install center drive shaft (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Install new bolts (2) and tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 135 15 N m (100 11 lb ft).
Install new bolts (1) and tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 135 15 N m (100 11 lb ft).
