Assembly Procedure

Install spacer (20), washers (19), arm (10), washer (18), and bolt (17) onto shaft (8). Tighten bolt (17) to a torque of 32 N m (23 lb ft).

Note: Check O-rings for wear or damage. If necessary, replace the O-rings.
Install spacer (16) into piston (13). Install O-rings (14) and (15) onto piston (13) .

Install piston (13) .

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install springs (11) and retaining bolts (12). Tighten retaining bolts (12) to a torque of 10 N m (7 lb ft).

Install shaft (8) into cam (4). Align set screw hole in shaft (8) with the mark on cam (4). This alignment mark was made during the disassembly procedure. Install set screw (7). Tighten set screw (7) to a torque of 10 N m (7 lb ft).

Hook the straight end of spring (9) into the bracket. Hook spring (9) over arm (10) .

Install ball (6) and bolt (5) .

Tighten bolt (5) to a torque of 25 N m (18 lb ft).

Install splined sleeve (3). Install steel plates (2) and brake disc (1) .End By: Install the service and parking brake. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Service and Parking Brake - Install".
