Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Clean the faces of all the mating parts. Apply a thin coat of clean engine oil to a new crankshaft rear seal.

Position Tooling (B) onto the crankshaft and install Tooling (E) .Note: Be sure that Tooling (B) is correctly aligned with the crankshaft.
Put new crankshaft rear seal (1) in Tooling (A) .
Install Tooling (C) , Tooling (D) , and Tooling (A) on Tooling (B) .
Push crankshaft rear seal (1) onto the crankshaft until Tooling (A) bottoms out.
Remove the tooling from the crankshaft. Check the crankshaft rear seal for correct installation.End By: Install the flywheel.
