This illustration shows a 212-7518 Adapter (1) in a cylinder head. (1) Spark plug adapter (2) 2S-2251 O-Ring Seal (3) 2N-7174 Adapter Gasket (4) Threads in the cylinder head for the adapter
Be sure that the threads (4) for the adapter that are in the cylinder head are clean and free of foreign material.
Be sure that the former adapter gasket (3) is removed from the cylinder head.
Install a new 2S-2251 O-Ring Seal (2) on the spark plug adapter (1) .
Put liquid soap on the O-ring seal (2) .
Put a new 2N-7174 Adapter Gasket (3) in position in the bore in the cylinder head.
Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the spark plug adapter (1) .
Install the spark plug adapter (1) in the cylinder head. Tighten the spark plug adapter to a torque of 95 7 N m (70 5 lb ft).
