Steps and handholds
When you dismount, use the steps and the handholds. Face the machine whenever you dismount the machine. Maintain a three-point contact with the steps and with handholds. Note: Three-point contact can be 2 feet and one hand. Three-point contact can also be 1 foot and two hands.
Inspect the engine compartment for debris. Clean out any debris and paper in order to avoid a fire.
If the machine is parked overnight, turn off the battery disconnect switch and remove the key.
Lock the cab doors. Use the vandalism protection covers and install all the padlocks. Padlocks are provided for the following areas:
Access cover to power train oil level gauge and auxiliary start receptacle
Both engine enclosures
Battery and washer fluid reservoir compartment
Battery disconnect switch lockout
Coolant filler pressure cap access cover
Fuel cap
Fuel drain
Fuel shutoff valve access cover
Hydraulic tank cap
Power train oil filler cap and tube access cover
