(8) Control switchControl switch (8) is mounted in the control panel in the operator station. The control switch is a three-position switch with the following functions: OFF, ON and AUTO.Solenoid valve (2) is a normally closed valve. When the lift control valve is in HOLD position and switch in operator panel is in OFF position, coils inside valves are not energized. A spring in each valve holds the spool inside the valve in the up position. Oil that flows from the head ends of lift cylinders (3) can also flow through an orifice at solenoid valve (2) to accumulators (1) .Rod end oil is blocked at solenoid valve (2) and flows back to hydraulic tank (6) through lift main control valve (5) .When lift control valve is in HOLD position, and switch in operator panel is pushed to ON position, coils in each solenoid valve are energized. When the coil is energized, the coil causes the spool inside the valve to overcome spring tension and the spool moves down. When the spool moves down, the spool opens a path for the head end and rod end oil to flow through solenoid valve (2) .As the machine moves across a rough terrain with a loaded bucket, the forces of the load act against the lift cylinders. When the load acts against the head end of the cylinders, that oil tries to flow through solenoid valve (2) into accumulators (1) .Accumulators (1) have a bladder that resists the oil flow and the bladder acts as a shock absorber. The make up oil in the rod end can flow through solenoid valve (2) and line (4) .An additional pressure switch is installed in the tilt circuit on the IT14G and IT14G2 machines. When the tilt control lever is in the TILT position, the ride control system is switched off. The OFF position prevents IT14G and IT14G2 tilt cylinders from causing the lift arms to raise when tilt links bottom out against the lift arms.When the lift control valve is in the HOLD position and control switch (8) is in the AUTO position, coils in the solenoid valves energize.
