The suspension of the seat performs several functions:
Isolation
Automatic Weight Adjustment
Height Adjustment

Air bag (1) acts as a spring as the air is compressed due to the motion of inner scissor arm (2) relative to lower housing (3). The amount of air that is in the air bag is determined by the operator. (Refer to "Height Adjustment".) The pressure in the air bag is determined by the weight of the operator. This provides automatic weight adjustment.Damping is provided by shock absorber (4). The stiffness of the shock absorber may be adjusted by rotating knob (13). Turn the knob counterclockwise for more stiffness. Turn the knob clockwise for less stiffness. The knob does not have much range of movement.Height Adjustment
The height of the seat is determined by the volume of air in the air bag (1). To raise the suspension, the operator pushes in air valve knob (5) and air enters the air bag (1). To lower the suspension, the operator pulls out air valve knob (5) and the air in the air bag (1) is released.Note: The operator must not change the height of the suspension so that the stroke is inadequate for the particular application. The suspension height must be changed if the seat bottoms out excessively or if the seat bounces to the maximum height too much.Indicator (6) must be aligned in the green zone when the machine is not running.When air valve knob (5) is pushed in, a port opens for incoming pressurized air through air intake hose (8) and through air inlet line (9).When air valve knob (5) is pulled out, a port from inlet line (9) to exhaust line (7) is opened.Connection to the Seat

Right slider track (10) and left slider track (11) connect the seat assembly to the suspension. Right slider track (10) can be adjusted laterally for a snug fit. Rack (12) provides the connection to the fore and aft adjuster on the seat.Use the following procedure to adjust the slider tracks.
Loosen the two fasteners on right slider track (10).
If additional space is needed for sliding the seat, remove the stop bolt on the front of the housing.
