Use screed float switch (7) to place the screed in the FLOAT position. When the screed is in the FLOAT position, an LED next to the screed float switch will illuminate. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.
Press rpm decrease switch (8) once to operate the engine in low idle.

Examine the display. If "Regen Conditions Not Met" warning (9) is shown and the banner is yellow, allow the engine to operate until the regeneration cycle is complete. The cycle may require up to 1 hour to complete. If the warning banner is red, use Cat® ET to complete a regeneration cycle as soon as possible. If no engine regeneration warning is shown, go to the next step.

Press and hold push to start switch (10). Release the switch when the engine stops.

Move machine power switch (11) to the OFF position.

Open pump compartment door (12).

Disconnect hose (13).

Install Tool (B), and connect hose (13) to the tool.
Connect Tool (A2) to Tool (C).Test Procedure

Move machine power switch (11) into the ON position. After the home screen is shown on display (14), press, and hold push to start switch (10). Release the switch when the engine starts.

Actuate screen unlock switch (15) to enable the touch screen on the display.Note: When the display is enabled, an LED next to the screen unlock switch is illuminated.

Tap status icon (16) to enter the status screen.

Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Press rpm increase switch (17) once to operate the engine in high idle.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on display (18). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches a minimum of 45 10 °C (113 18 °F).
Actuate parking brake switch (5).
Use Tool (A) to record the pressure. The pressure should be zero to 500 kPa (73 psi).

Use travel mode switch (3) to select the travel mode. When the travel mode is set to travel, an LED next to travel symbol (19) is illuminated.
Use Tool (A) to record the pressure. The pressure specification is given in "Specifications" Table 2.
Press rpm decrease switch (8) once to operate the engine in low idle.Note: If necessary, perform a regeneration cycle before the engine is stopped.
Press and hold push to start switch (10). Release the switch when the engine stops.
Move machine power switch (11) to the OFF position.
If the pressure readings were not in the ranges given above, troubleshoot the electrical circuit to the shift solenoid and/or check the shift valve for oil restriction. If the pressure readings were inside the ranges given above, go to the next step.
Disconnect Tool (A2) from Tool (C).
Disconnect hose (13) from Tool (B). Remove Tool (B).
Connect hose (13) to the valve.
Close pump compartment door (12).
