Personal injury can be the result if air lines (4) are disconnected before the air pressure is released in the air tank. To prevent personal injury, open the two bleed valves on the air tank before air lines (4) are disconnected.
1. Disconnect air lines (4) from housing (2).2. Remove housing (1) and the two springs that are in the housing.3. Remove two bolts (3) and housing (2). 4. Remove pin and piston (5) and cap (6) as a unit.Install Centershift Lock (Earlier)
1. Install pin and piston (1) and cap (2) in the blade lift bar. 2. Fasten housing (4) to cap (2) with two bolts (5).3. Install two springs (3) in the end of housing (4) as shown. 4. Put 2P2506 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of housing (4). Install the washers in the bore of housing (6). Install housing (6). Tighten the housing to a torque of 100 15 lb.ft. (136 20 N m).5. Connect two air lines (7) to housing (4).Remove Centershift Lock (Later)
1. Lower the blade to the ground.
Do not disconnect either air line from the centershift lock until the system air pressure is zero. Failure to do so can cause in personal injury.
2. Put identification on two hose assemblies (4) for installation purposes. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) from the centershift lock.
There are two springs in compression under housing (3). Loosen bolts (2) evenly to remove spring tension and prevent personal injury.
3. Loosen two bolts (2) that fasten housings (1) and (3) to bar.4. Remove bolts, cover (3) and springs from the centershift lock after the bolts are loosened and the spring tension is decreased. 5. Use a soft hammer to disengage the centershift lockpin from its bore. 6. Remove pin and housing (1) from the blade lift bar.Install Centershift Lock (Later)
1. Install pin and housing assembly (1) in position in the blade lift bar. 2. Install springs (3) and housing (2) in position on housing (1). Install housing (2) with plug (5) toward the bottom.3. Install bolts (4) that hold the housings to the blade lift bar. Tighten bolts evenly. 4. Connect air lines (6) to their correct location on the centershift lock.Disassemble Centershift Lock
START BY:a) remove centershift lock The disassembly and assembly of earlier and later centershift locks is the same so only one will be shown.1. Remove springs (3) and (4) and washers (2) from housing (1). 2. Remove O-ring seal (5) and pin assembly (6) from housing. 3. Bend lock (8) and remove bolts. Remove cap (7) and piston (9) from the pin. 4. Remove seals (11) and (12) from piston. Remove seal (10) from pin. 5. Remove two seal groups (14) from each of two grooves in housing (13).Assemble Centershift Lock
Inspect all seals for damage and make any replacements if needed.1. Install two seals (1) and (2) in each of the two grooves in housing. The O-ring seals (2) are installed first and then the flat seals (1). 2. Install O-ring seal and then flat seal (5) on
