Install Tooling (F), Tooling (D), Tooling (E), and one cover bolt (5) to the bearing end of the final drive.
Prepare a suitable lifting device with one leg of 3.00 m (10.0 ft) and another leg of 2.75 m (9.0 ft). Fasten a hoist and the 2.75 m (9.0 ft) leg of the lifting device to Tooling (F). Fasten the 3.00 m (10.0 ft) leg of the lifting device to Tooling (D). The weight of the final drive and Tooling is approximately 4040 kg (8900 lb).
Lubricate O-ring seal with Tooling (H) .

Install final drive into the track roller frame until the 3.00 m (10.0 ft) leg of the lifting device nearly contacts the track roller frame.
Install Tooling (G) to the end of Tooling (E). Shorten the length of Tooling (G) until the 3.00 m (10.0 ft) leg of the lifting device can be removed from Tooling (D) .

Use Tooling (G) to align final drive. Install final drive into track roller frame and sprocket.
Remove Tooling (D), Tooling (E), Tooling (F), Tooling (G) and cover bolt (5). The weight of Tooling (E) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb).

Apply SAE viscosity grade 30 oil to the bolt head, the threads, and the washer face. Install 46 mounting bolts (10) for the final drive. Tighten the 46 bolts to a torque of 1850 200 N m (1360 150 lb ft)

Install Tooling (B). Inspect back upring (9), remove any burrs created by tooling. Install backup ring (9) .

Install Tooling (D) to ring (8) .
Install a suitable lifting device to Tooling (D), as shown. Install ring (8). The weight of ring (8) is approximately 55 kg (120 lb)
Remove Tooling (D) .

Install Tooling (A). Use Tooling (A) in order to seat ring (8) .
Remove Tooling (A) .

Clean, inspect, and install O-ring seal (7) .

Orient cover (6) with a drain plug at the six o'clock position. Install Tooling (D) to the back side of cover (6) .
Install a suitable lifting device to Tooling (D), as shown. Install the cover. The weight of cover (6) is approximately 60 kg (130 lb).
Remove Tooling (D) .

Install six bolts (5). Remove Tooling (B). Install remaining two bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 620 80 N m (460 60 lb ft)

Apply SAE viscosity grade 30 oil to the bolt head, the threads, and the washer face. Align the sprocket mounting holes to the holes in the final drive. Install half of the 46 mounting bolts (2). Rotate the sprocket and install the remaining mounting bolts (2) .
Tighten the mounting bolts (2) to a torque of 1850 200 N m (1360 150 lb ft).

Install the splined inner hubs (1) into each housing for the travel brakes.
Fill the final drive bearing compartment with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7271, "Final Drive Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.
Install the travel motors. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Travel Motor - Install".
