Problem
New 1G5672 Control Assemblies need to be installed in the proper pump of certain CB534 Compactors. All machines must be inspected to insure they have been updated with the new control assemblies.

CB534 Compactors 2EG261-300 all had a 7X9151 Valve- Orifices installed at the factory. The remaining Affected Product must be inspected to determine which control assemblies were installed.

Rework Procedure
1. Open the RH engine enclosure access door and thoroughly clean the pump area.2. Inspect ports X1 and X2 on the propel pump section of the pump. Determine if the existing orifices are 7X9151 Valve-Orifices or the earlier 0.8 mm orifices. The 7X9151 Valve-Orifices will stand one inch above the pump housing while the earlier 0.8 mm orifices are inside the pump housing at ports X1 and X2.
3. If the existing orifices are 7X9151 Valve-Orifices, the orifices must be removed and replaced with 1G5672 Control Assemblies-Orifice.4. If the existing orifices are the earlier 0.8 mm orifices, no change is required unless the customer requests that the new 1G5672 Control Assemblies-Orifices be installed. The new 1G5672 Control Assemblies-Orifices will give the operator increased modulation of the acceleration and braking compared to the earlier 0.8 mm orifices. An increase in the stopping distance will also result.To change the orifices, remove the X1 and X2 plugs and use a metric allen wrench to remove the orifice valves. Install the new 1G5672 Control Assemblies with o-ring seals in the ports.
5. Test the operation of the controls. At high idle, move the lever from forward to reverse. The compactor should start moving after approximately 1 second and should have a smooth transition from one direction to the other. If the lever is difficult to move, adjust the friction plate under the boot for smoother operation.
