Disconnect the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) hose assembly from connection (4) on crankcase breather cover (5). Refer to the OEM for the correct procedure.
Remove nut (3) from the clip.
Disconnect plastic tube assembly (2) from connection (1) and crankcase breather cover (5).

Remove nuts (9) from crankcase breather cover (5).
Remove crankcase breather cover (5) from front cover (16). Remove O-ring seal (10) from the crankcase breather cover.
Remove circlip (11) from spigot (14).
Remove crankcase breather element (12) from spigot (14).
If necessary, remove Allen head bolts (6) from breather assembly (7). Remove O-ring seal (8) from the breather assembly.
If necessary, use Tooling (A) in order to remove threaded insert (13) and spigot (14) from the fuel injection pump shaft.
If necessary, remove studs (15) from front cover (16).
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove crankcase breather element (12) from spigot (14).
