The new 7R4945 Bevel Gear Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 7X2137 Bevel Gear Assembly. The new bevel gear assembly is only available as a set. The new 7R9084 Indicator Group is a direct replacement for the former 5E9149 Indicator Group. See the chart for the serviced components that changed in the indicator group. The new bevel gear assembly and new indicator group are effective with RR-250 Road Reclaimer 6ED140 and SS-250 Soil Stabilizer 6DD148. The new bevel gear assembly, and drive gear, driven gear and bracket (when used together) are adaptable to earlier machines. Use the same bevel gear assembly installation and adjustment procedure as used with the former bevel gear assembly.
If the new bevel gear assembly is used on earlier machines equipped with travel speed group, it will also be necessary to change the gears and mounting bracket in the indicator group.When the bevel gear assembly is installed in earlier machines, the pressure override relief valve pressure must be adjusted down to 27 500 kPa (4000 psi) instead of the 31 000 kPa (4500 psi) setting used on earlier machines. If the pressure override relief valve is not adjusted down to 27 500 kPa (4000 psi), the result could be a shorter service life of the propel transmission. See Illustration 4.
