Axle Pump Shown From Left Side
Note the original position of adjustment screw (27) on the axle pump with mark on adjustment screw (27) and the pump housing.
Loosen Locknut (26) . Rotate adjustment screw (27) 1/6 to 1/12 of a turn in order to adjust the servo piston.
Start the engine. Read the pressure on both sets of Tool (C) in pressure tap "Ma" (23) and pressure tap "Mb" (22) in the axle pump. If the pressure is equal on both sets of Tool (C) , Go to Step 37. If the pressure is not equal, place the engine in the off position and go to Step 35. If the delta pressure increased, rotate adjustment screw (27) in the opposite direction of adjustment made in Step 35.
Disconnect Tool (C) from pressure tap "Mb" (22) in the axle pump and connect Tool (C) to pressure tap "Ma" (25) of the drum pump.
Check pressure of Tool (C) in pressure tap "Ma" (23) of axle pump and Tool (C) in pressure tap "Ma" (25) of the drum pump. Verify that the pressures are equal. If the pressures are not equal, the wrong pump was adjusted in Step 35 .
Rotate adjustment screw (27) of the axle pump to the original position marked in Step 34. Hold adjustment screw (27) in place and tighten locknut (26) .

Loosen Locknut (29) . Rotate adjustment screw (30) of the drum pump 1/6 to 1/12 of a turn in order to adjust the servo piston.
Start the engine. Check the pressures. If the pressure is equal on Tool (A) , go to Step 43. If the pressure is not equal, place the engine in the off position and go to Step 41. If the delta pressure increased, rotate adjustment screw (30) in the opposite direction of adjustment made in Step 41.
Verify that pressures are equal between pressure tap "Ma" (23) and pressure tap "Mb" (22) on the axle pump. Verify that pressures are equal between pressure tap "Ma" (25) and pressure tap "Mb" (28) on the drum pump. Verify that pressures are equal between pressure tap "Ma" (20) on the axle pump and pressure tap "Ma" (22) on the drum pump. Verify that pressures are equal between pressure tap "Mb" (22) on the axle pump and pressure tap "Mb" (28) on the drum pump.
