View Under Machine Between Front Frame and Rotor Front Door (1) Engine hood manifold (2) Diverter solenoid (3) Hood lower solenoid (4) Pressure tap (5) Pressure reducing valve (6) Hood lift solenoidEngine hood manifold (1) is mounted under the machine. This manifold is located between the front frame and the front door of the rotor. The engine hood manifold is equipped with the following components: three solenoid valves, pressure tap (4), pressure reducing valve (5) and a relief valve on the top face of the manifold (not shown). The ports on the engine hood manifold are marked for the purpose of identification.Note: The relief valve limits the supply pressure from the accessory pump to a maximum of 15 500 kPa (2250 psi).Diverter solenoid (2) is controlled by the hood actuation switch. When the hood actuation switch is in the HOLD position, the diverter solenoid is de-energized. When the hood actuation switch is either in the RAISE position or in the LOWER position, the diverter solenoid is energized.Diverter solenoid (2) directs oil either to the engine hood solenoids or to the brake release manifold. When the diverter solenoid is de-energized, oil is directed out port "PBV" to the brake release manifold. When the diverter solenoid is energized, oil is directed to the engine hood solenoids.Hood lower solenoid (3) is controlled by the hood actuation switch. When the switch is in the LOWER position, the hood lower solenoid is energized. The hood lower solenoid directs oil out port "H2" of the manifold and into the rod end of the engine hood cylinder.Pressure reducing valve (5) limits the pressure that is available to the engine hood solenoids to a maximum of 5690 345 kPa (825 50 psi). This pressure can be measured at pressure tap (4) in port "G" of the manifold.Hood lift solenoid (6) is controlled by the hood actuation switch. When the switch is in the LIFT position, the hood lift solenoid is energized. The hood lift solenoid directs oil out of port "H1" of the manifold and into the head end of the engine hood cylinder.
