Install support arm (32), the pin, and the cotter key to support (31) .

Install adjustable strike-off assemblies (33) onto the mainframe of the screed using the three holes from Step 31. Use three bolts, the six washers, and the three nuts to install adjustable strike-off assemblies (33). Connect support arm (32) to adjustable strike-off assemblies (33) .Note: Set strike of plates to be 3/4" off the ground.

Remove the nut, the bolt, and pipe (34) .

Install auger extensions (35), coupling shaft (36), auger bearing hanger (37), and pipe (34) .Note: Ensure that the auger extension is in line with the standard flights to ensure even material flow.Note: Place suitable jack stands under the end of the augers for support.
Tighten the set screw on auger bearing hanger (37) .

Install mainframe extensions (42), the bolts, the washers, and the nuts.
Install brace support (38) to the tractor at the tow point support bracket lower holes.
Install brace group (39) to brace support (38) .
Install auger bearing support (40) .
Verify auger extensions (35) are in line with the main augers. Tighten bolt (41) .

Install extension walkways (45), handrails (43), the washers, and the bolts.Note: The alignment of the auger shafts should be performed with the augers set at the auger height required for desired paving thickness. Adjust bolt (41), brace group (39), and brace support (38) to adjust the alignment.Note: Extension walkways (45) should be at the same height as the extender walkways.
Connect hose assemblies (44) .

Disconnect hose assembly (47). Remove bolts (46), the plate, and clamps. Pull hose assembly outward. Install the bolts, the plate, and clamps back into place.Note: The clamps will not be used to support the hose while the extensions are installed.

Connect harness assembly (48) .Note: May require the removal of the clamps during Disassembly and Assembly for the harness connections in order to avoid contact with the frame.

Connect hose assemblies (47), (51), and (52). Place hose assemblies and harness assembly into clamps (50) .
Install covers (49) and the bolts.

Install control box (53) and the bolts to the extensions. Connect the harness assembly from control box (53) to the extension. Install cable straps in order to secure harness assembly to the screed.Note: Shown with optional Cat Grade and Slope control box mounted along with standard control box.
Install the end gates. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "End Gate - Remove and Install".

Connect end gate heater harness assembly (16), if equipped.
Perform the process on the other side of the screed.
