Drive the machine onto suitable cribbing (2). Attach a suitable lifting device onto ripper shank (1). The weight of ripper shank (1) is approximately 885 kg (1950 lb).Note: For multi-shank machines each ripper shank weighs approximately 530 kg (1170 lb).
Raise the ripper to the maximum height. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Ripper Control".
Apply slight lifting tension to ripper shank (1) .
Retract the ripper pin.
Lower ripper shank (1) to the ground.Installation Procedure

Engage the ripper pin.
Lower the ripper. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Ripper Control".
