Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

Tighten nut (3) to a torque of 7500 750 N m (5532 553 lb ft). (4) Lubricate sealing lip (4) with the lubricant that is being sealed. (5) Apply Tooling (B) to the seal groove prior to the assembly of seal (5). (6) Tighten bolt (6). (7) Depth of bearing (7) below the surface 14.7 0.5 mm (0.58 0.02 inch)Installation Procedure

Use a suitable lifting device to position bulldozer tilt cylinder (1) on the machine. The weight of bulldozer tilt cylinder (1) is approximately 250 kg (550 lb).
Install pin (5) and bolts (4). Install pin (3) and bolts (2).
Connect hose assemblies (6). Install guard (7). Remove the suitable lifting device.
Repeat Step 1 through Step 3 for the bulldozer tilt cylinder on the opposite side of the machine.

Remove the air supply and Tooling (A) from the hydraulic tank.
Check the fluid level in the hydraulic tank. Fill the hydraulic tank, if necessary. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank for the machine that is being serviced. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Tank Oil - Check" for the correct filling procedure.
