The generator valve is mounted to the top of the generator pump.The generator valve contains the generator solenoid. The hydraulic generator relay controls this solenoid. When the relay is energized, the generator solenoid is energized. When this solenoid is energized, oil is sent to the generator motor.The generator valve contains a flow control valve, a relief valve, and two pressure taps. Pump supply pressure can be measured at the pressure tap which is located in port "TP". Signal pressure can be measured at the pressure tap which is located in port "TA". The pump compensator valve controls the maximum pressure in this system. The relief valve quickly relieves peaks in pressure. These peaks can occur when the generator is started and/or when the load on the generator increases. The relief valve prevents the generator from surging during operation.When the engine is operating at high idle and under no load, the flow control valve should be adjusted in order to produce a frequency of 62.5 1 Hz at the power outlets. When the engine is operating at high idle and under full load, the frequency at the power outlets should be between 58 Hz and 64 Hz. Note: The performance of the bulbs in the lighting packages will be adversely affected at frequencies which are above or below these settings. However, screed heating will not be affected.
