Information:

2. Loosen clamps (1) and disconnect tube assembly (2).3. Remove bolts (3) and lockwashers. Remove valve cover (4) and gasket.4. Disconnect wire (5).5. Remove tube assembly (6). Disconnect hose assembly (7).6. Remove two bolts (8). 7. Remove six bolts (9) and rocker shaft assembly (10).8. Remove push rods (11). 9. Fasten hoist, remove twenty bolts (12) and seven bolts (13). Remove the cylinder head (14). The weight of the cylinder head assembly is 177 Kg (390 lbs.).
Do not set the cylinder head on a flat surface because of possible damage to the fuel injection nozzle tips.
The following steps are for the installation of the cylinder head. When the cylinder head is removed, a new spacer plate gasket must be installed. See the topic, Remove And Install Spacer Plate.10. Make sure the surfaces that make contact between the cylinder head and cylinder block are clean and dry. Install a new gasket on the cylinder block.11. Fasten hoist to the cylinder head assembly and put it in position on the cylinder block.12. Put 2P2506 Thread Lubricant on all the head bolts and rocker shaft bolts except bolt (25). Install bolts, (12) and (13) with washers. Do not tighten bolts at this time.13. Loosen the lock nuts and adjusting screws on rocker shaft assembly for valve clearance. This will prevent a bent valve or push rod at installation. 14. Install push rods (11) and rocker shaft assembly (10). Install the bolts and washers that hold the rocker shaft in place.

3304 Tightening Sequence15. Tighten the bolts as follows:a. Tighten bolts 1 through 26 in number sequence to a torque of 155 N m (115 lb.ft.).b. Tighten bolts 1 through 26 again in number sequence to a torque of 250 17 N m (185 13 lb.ft.).c. Tighten bolts 1 through 26 again in number sequence (hand tighten only) to a torque of 250 17 N m (185 13 lb.ft.).d. Tighten bolts A through G in letter sequence (hand tighten only) to a torque of 43 7 N m (32 5 lb.ft.).16. Make adjustments until the intake valve clearance is .038 mm (.015 in.) and the exhaust valve. Clearance is 0.64 mm (.025 in.). See the topic, Valve Clearance Setting in Testing And Adjusting. Tighten the locknuts (20) for the adjusting screws (19) to a torque of 29 7 N m (21 5 lb.ft.). 17. Install two bolts (8).18. Connect hose assembly (7). Install tube assembly (6).19.
