Improper lifting or tie-downs can allow the load to shift and cause injury or damage.

For lifting objects, use properly rated cables and properly rated slings. Position the lifting device for level attachment lifting.

Store the work tool off the ground on a pallet. Move the stick inward all the way. Lower the boom so that the work tool rests on the pallet. Tie the hydraulic hoses to the work tool in order to keep the hoses off the ground. Install protective caps over the quick disconnect fittings in order to keep debris off of the couplings. If protective caps are not available, connect the hydraulic hoses together. Use tie-downs in order to secure the work tool to the pallet.
