Certain B-Series have experienced issues with the 229-8757 Limit Switch As . The failure is a result of excessive compression of plunger in the door switch when the plunger is compressed against the switch stop. When this occurs, internal damage is caused to the switch and machine operation is disabled.Required Parts

229-8757 Limit Switch As (A) Nut (B) Mounting screw (1) 229-8757 Limit Switch As Note: Torque nut (A) to 0.45 N m to 0.68 N m (3.983 lb in to 6.019 lb in). Torque for the screw (B) is 0.32 0.02 N m (2.832 0.177 lb in).
Replace the switch with a new 229-8757 Limit Switch As (1) .

(C) 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) (D) 6 mm (0.24 inch) (2) Switch stop
Grind the switch stop (2) in order to reduce the compressed travel of the switch plunger. Use a grinder in order to decrease the thickness of the switch stop approximately 1.5 mm (0.06 inch). Reduce the switch stop from 6 mm (0.24 inch) to 4.5 mm (0.18 inch).
Once the excess material is removed, check the switch in order to ensure contact.
