ACTION REQUIRED
Update all ECM's with latest software. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure.
If the machine is registered under an EMSolutions Level 2 or higher program, that firmware currently residing on the machines ECMs does not meet the standard for expected data quality for total fuel, idle fuel, and idle time, and therefore is considered "failed". Update all ECM's on the machine (Engine, Machine, Implement, Monitor, Product Link, etc.) to the latest firmware configuration for accurate periodic performance reporting to end users.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Before going to the Customer Site:
1. Search the machine serial number in SIS and download all of the ECM flash files.
Note: These ECM flash files can be downloaded individually or as a single package in SIS. Cat ET version 2013B or later is required to use the flash file package feature in WinFlash.
At the machine:
2. Connect to the machine using Cat ET, and take a Product Status Report (PSR).
3. After the PSR is finished, save an ECM replacement file for every single ECM. Go to Service -> Copy Configuration -> ECM replacement. Select Load from ECM for each ECM, and save each configuration to a secure location.
4. After all of the ECM replacement files have been saved, apply the flash files to the individual Product Link, engine, transmission, machine, implement, and monitor ECM's as needed using Winflash.
Note: Cat ET version 2013B or later is required to use the flash file package feature in WinFlash.

5. Once the flash process is completed, reprogram the ECMs with the previously saved ECM replacement files. Go back to Service -> Copy Configuration -> ECM Replacement, and load each ECM replacement file separately. Then select the Program ECM option at the bottom left and apply the configuration to the correct ECM.
