Two remanufactured governors are available to replace existing Caterpillar 3161 Governors on the above engines. The 0R-4105 Governor Group is for use in EPG applications. This governor includes the features that follow:
An electric motor for speed setting
Adjustable droopThe 0R-4106 Governor Group is for marine applications. This governor includes the features that follow:
Pneumatic Speed Control with a range of 69 to 414 kPa (10 to 60 psi) for the speed setting
Low Idle Offset with fixed droopExcept for the manual shutdown that is standard, these remanufactured governors do not come with any shutdown devices. The shutdown devices may be transfered from the governor that is being replaced to the remanufactured governor, or a new shutdown device can be ordered. Table 1 identifies the shutdown devices.
