1. Move the transmission range selector (1) to NEUTRAL, and the lock (2) to ON. 2. Move all scraper hydraulic controls to HOLD.
Move the cushion hitch control to LOCKDOWN.
3. Move the parking/emergency brake lever to PARK. 4. Insert the key and turn on the disconnect switch.
Never turn OFF the disconnect switch when the engine is running.
5. The low air pressure light should go on, and the electric horn should sound, if air pressure is below 60 psi (415 kPa). 6. Push the accelerator pedal to just past detent. 7. Push in and turn the heat-start switch to START.8. Release the switch when the engine starts.
If the engine oil pressure does not register within 10 seconds, stop the engine.
9. Keep the engine at low idle until it is warm.10. Watch all gauges and indicators for correct readings.1. Follow steps 1. through 9. for Above 60°F (32°C). 2. Push in and turn the heat-start switch to HEAT, for the time indicated on the STARTING AID CHART. 3. Turn the heat-start switch to START. Release the switch when the engine starts.4. Spray starting fluid into pre-cleaner for 1 second, while cranking the engine. Do not allow cable ends to contact each other or the machine.Prevent sparks near the batteries. They could cause vapors to explode.
Turn the disconnect switch OFF, and remove the key, when attaching cables.Connect cables in parallel, POSITIVE (+) to POSITIVE (+) and NEGATIVE (-) to NEGATIVE (-).
Using Starting Receptacle:
1. Turn off the disconnect switch and remove the key.2. Attach the cable to the auxiliary source first. 3. Remove the cover from the Auxiliary Starting Receptacle on the machine. Insert the cable plug.4. Insert the key and turn on the disconnect switch.5. Start the engine. See the proper instructions.6. When the engine starts, remove the plug from the machine starting receptacle first.7. Disconnect the other end of the cable from the starting source.Using Jumper Cables:
