Remove Expansion Tank
1. Remove coolant from engine. Disconnect lines for switch from expansion tank. Remove two bolts that hold switch to expansion tank. Remove the switch. 2. Remove the hose (1) and clamps from expansion tank. Remove ventilation line (3). Remove bolts (2) that hold housing to expansion tank.3. Fasten a hoist to expansion tank. Remove bolts from the two braces that hold expansion tank in position. 4. Loosen clamp (5) that holds the tubes together. Remove the bolts (4) that hold tube (7) to expansion tank. Remove bolts that hold brackets (6) to oil filter housing. Remove expansion tank. Weight is 220 lb. (100 kg).Install Expansion Tank
1. Use a hoist and put expansion tank in position on engine. Install bolts that hold the brackets to oil filter housing. Install bolts that hold outlet tube (1) to expansion tank. Tighten clamp that holds outlet tubes together.2. Install bolts that hold braces to expansion tank. Remove hoist from expansion tank.3. Install bolts that fasten temperature regulator housing and expansion tank together. Install overflow hose and clamps on expansion tank. Install the ventilation line. 4. Install the switch (2) on expansion tank. Connect the lines (3) to switch.5. Fill the engine with coolant.
