Installation Procedure

Install yoke (8).
Attach a suitable lifting device to front idler (7). Position the front idler on the track roller frame. Slide the front idler rearward. The weight of the front idler is approximately 102 kg (225 lb).

Install bolts (6) that hold front idler (7) to the yoke.

Install plate assembly (5), shims (4), and bolts (3).

Install cover (2) and bolts (1) in the track roller frame.

Pull the idler group to the outside away from the machine. Use a feeler gauge to check the clearance between the plate assembly and the track roller frame. The total measurement of the gap should not exceed 3.0 mm (0.12 inch).
Center the idler group on the track roller frame. Allow a gap of 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) between the track roller frame and the plate.
Add shims (4) or remove shims on each side of the idler group in order to maintain the clearance at 1.5 mm (0.06 inch). End By:
