GEAR-DIFFERENTIAL BEVEL 1933068 - Caterpillar

1. Drain the hydraulic tank - capacity 55 U.S. Gal. (144 litre). 2. Remove mud flap and guard (1). 3. Remove upper pin retaining bolts, attach tool setup (B), and remove upper pin.
When the upper pin comes out, the cylinder will fall against the rear tire.
4. Install lifting arm, tool (A) on the bucket of a wheel loader and support the body lift cylinder. Protect the cylinder rod with tape. 5. Remove lower pin cover (2). 6. Install tool setup (C) and remove cylinder from lower pin - weight 450 lbs. (204 kg).Install Hoist Cylinders
1. Place a radiator hose clamp (1) around the lower pin bearing to prevent the bearing from separating as the cylinder slides on.2. Install guide pins (2). 3. Attach lifting arm, tool setup (A) to the bucket of a wheel loader, and position body lift cylinder over guide pins.4. Push the cylinder over the bearing and remove the hose clamp.5. Remove the guide pins and install the lower pin cover. The upper pin bearings are difficult to align with the pin boss on the truck body. A pilot (dummy pin), tool (B), of slightly smaller diameter than the service pin makes the job easier. 6. Raise the cylinder into position and install the dummy pin, tool (B).7. Drive the service pin into the pin boss and through the cylinder. The service pin will push the dummy pin out. Install the pin retaining bolts.8. Fill hydraulic system to the specified level.
