Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the frame from the vibratory compactor. Refer to Service Manual, "Frame - Remove and Install".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before operating any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. After collecting all fluids in suitable containers, dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Table 1
Frame
Sales Model     Weight
VVP10
72 kg (159 lb)
VVP15
108 kg (238 lb)
VVP25
251 kg (553 lb)
VVP45
285 kg (628 lb)
Use a hoist and suitable lifting chains in order to rotate the frame so that the mounting plate is pointing toward the ground. Lay the mounting plate of the frame on a smooth, level surface. This will give access to the manifold. Refer to Table 1 for the weight of the frame.

It is important to mark hose (3) and hose (4) for later installation onto manifold (5) .Note: Each hose on the VVP10, and VVP15 vibratory compactor has a coupling that attaches to the fittings on manifold (5). Refer to Illustration 2.Note: Each hose on the VVP25 and VVP45 vibratory compactors are connected to manifold (5) by two half flanges and four bolts. Check the O-rings for any wear or damage.
Remove hose (3) from manifold (5). Cap the hose in order to prevent any contamination. Cap the fitting on manifold (5) .
Remove hose (4) from manifold (5). Cap the hose in order to prevent any contamination. Cap the fitting on manifold (5) .
Remove manifold (5). Refer to Table 2 for the weight of the manifold.
