Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect.".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Open the hood.

Place a suitable container under the machine. Open drain valves (1) .

Use Tooling (A) to remove upper fuel filter (2) and lower fuel filter (3) .

Remove check valve (4) .

Remove O-ring seals (5) and backup ring (6) from check valve (4) .

Disconnect tube assemblies (7), (8), and (10) .
Remove bolts (9) and secondary fuel filter base (11) .Installation Procedure

Install secondary fuel filter base (11) and bolts (9) .
Connect tube assemblies (7), (8), and (10) .

Install backup ring (6), and O-ring seals (5) on check valve (4) .

Install check valve (4). The torque for check valve (4) is 50 4 N m (37 3 lb ft).

Install lower fuel filter (3) and upper fuel filter (2). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7037, " 938G Wheel Loader" for further information.
Close the hood.End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
