Left Side of Machine
(1) Cylinder valveCylinder valve (1) is located in the compartment on the left side of the machine. The left compartment door provides access to this component.Cylinder valve (1) controls oil flow from the auxiliary pump to the following locations:
Hopper cylinders
Auger lift cylinder
Screed hydraulic componentsThe ports on cylinder valve (1) are labeled for identification. The left hopper ports are labeled with the prefixes "A1" and "B1". The right hopper ports are labeled with the prefixes "A2" and "B2". Auger lift ports are labeled with the prefixes "A3" and "B3".Note: For more information about the hydraulic systems on the screed, refer to screed documentation.

Auxiliary bypass valveThe left hopper control valve is controlled by left hopper raise solenoid (4) and left hopper lower solenoid (7). This valve controls the flow of hydraulic oil to and from the left hopper cylinder.The right hopper control valve is controlled by right hopper raise solenoid (5) and right hopper lower solenoid (8). This valve controls the flow of hydraulic oil to and from the right hopper cylinder.Each hopper control valve is equipped with compensator spool (2) and (3). These components compare the supply oil pressure to the load signal from the corresponding hydraulic cylinder. When the hoppers are operating, the compensator spools regulate the flow of hydraulic oil to and from the hopper cylinders.The auger lift control valve is controlled by auger raise solenoid (9) and auger lower solenoid (6). This valve controls the flow of hydraulic oil to and from the auger lift cylinder.The auxiliary bypass valve is controlled by auxiliary bypass solenoid (10). This valve is normally open. When this valve is open, oil from the auxiliary pump flows through the valve to the cooler manifold. When the hoppers, auger lift, or screed hydraulic systems are operated, this valve is energized and the valve closes. When the valve is closed, the bypass valve maintains the supply pressure at 21000 kPa (3000 psi).
