1. Remove the seat retaining ring (1) and pin (2). 2. Remove the seat (3), bolt (4), washers (5), and spring (6).3. Remove the sleeve and bearing from the cylinder and weight unit. 4. Remove the retaining ring (7) and sleeve (8).5. Remove bearing (9) and races (10) from sleeve (8). 6. Remove the valve (11) from piston (12).7. Remove retaining ring (13).8. Remove the weight unit (14).9. Remove piston (12) and sleeve (15) from the cylinder (16).10. Remove the O-ring seal from the sleeve (15). 11. Remove the speed limiter plug (17), gasket (18), spring (19) and plunger (20) from the governor housing.12. Remove the high idle screw (22) and low idle screw (21). 13. Remove the retaining bolt (23) and lock.14. Remove the shaft and lever from governor housing.15. Remove the seal, plug and two bearings from the governor housing.Assemble Governor
1. Install two bearings, plug and seal in the governor housing with the lip of seal to inside. 2. Put the lever and shaft in position in the governor housing. Install the retaining bolt (1) and lock. 3. Install the high idle screw (3) and low idle screw (2) in the governor housing.4. Install the speed limiter plug (4), gasket (5), spring (6) and plunger (7) in the governor housing. 5. Install the O-ring seal (11) on sleeve (10).6. Install piston (9) and sleeve (10) in the cylinder (8). 7. Put the weight unit (13) in position on cylinder (8), and install retaining ring (12). 8. Install the valve (14) in piston (9).9. Install the bearing and races in sleeve. Install ring. Install the sleeve and bearing (15) on valve (14). 10. Put the seat (17), bolt (16), washers and spring in position on the valve (14). Install the retaining pin (19) and ring (18).end by:a) connection of governor to fuel injection pump housingb) install fuel injection pump housing and governor as a unitc) make rack setting and governor adjustment (See FUEL RACK SETTING AND GOVERNOR ADJUSTMENTS in TESTING AND ADJUSTING)
