A message on the Cat ET screen guides the user through the procedure. See the manual that is provided with the Cat ET software for more information.ECMs must be configured when replaced. Configuration screens only apply to machines that have an ECM. ECM configuration must be completed before calibration can be started.Checking the configuration screen could resolve a problem with the machine. A problem with a component could be identified as one of the following:
Component not installed
Component installed, but a change to the installation is needed to correct a problemFollow these instructions to get to the configuration screen:
Connect the communications adapter and the computer to the diagnostic service tool connector.
Start the Cat ET.
Select "File".
Go to "Select ECM".
Choose the "AWD ECM".
Go to the "Service" menu.
Select "Configuration".
Click "OK".
