This diagnostic code is recorded when the Advisor module reads the current of the "action lamp circuit "(411-PK(Pink)) and the current is below normal.System Response:The action lamp does not light when this diagnostic code is active.Test Step 1. CHECK THE LAMP.
At the action lamp, use a jumper wire to connect wire 411-PK(Pink) to frame ground. Expected Result:The diagnostic code CID 1426 FMI 05 changed to CID 1426 FMI 04.Results:
OK - The diagnostic code CID 1426 FMI 05 changed to CID 1426 FMI 04.Repair: The lamp or the lamp socket are open. Replace the action lamp. Verify that the action lamp is open. The correct resistance for a good lamp is less than 50 ohms.STOP
NOT OK - The diagnostic code CID 1426 FMI 05 is still active. The action lamp is not causing the fault. Proceed to test step 2.Test Step 2. CHECK THE HARNESS.
The disconnect switch and the key start switch remain in the OFF position.
Disconnect the harness from the lamp socket of the action lamp.
Disconnect the machine harness connector from the Advisor module .
At the machine harness for the Advisor module, measure the resistance between contact 54 (wire 411-PK(Pink)) and contact 2 (wire 411-PK(Pink)) of the harness for the lamp socket.
At the machine harness for the Advisor module, measure the resistance between contact 18, wire 222-BK(Black) and contact 1 of the harness for the lamp socket. Expected Result:Both of the resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms.Results:
OK - Both of the resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms. The machine harness is correct.Repair: The failure is intermittent. The probable cause is a poor electrical connection at the harness connectors or a damaged harness. Check the harness for damage and clean the harness connectors. If the harness has not failed, the Advisor module may have failed. It is unlikely that the Advisor module has failed. Exit this procedure and perform this procedure again. If the fault is not found, replace the Advisor module. See the Troubleshooting, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Replace".STOP
NOT OK - One or both of the resistance measurements are greater than 5 ohms.Repair: The machine harness is not correct. Repair the machine harness or replace the machine harness.STOP
