Problem
The 1438144 Fan Drive Pump Relief Valve was installed in correctly on certain 345B L Excavators. This may cause a malfunction of the relief valve, leading to an excessive fan speed. The valve needs to be removed and reinstalled correctly.

1. Refer to the Illustration 1 to control the 1438144 Relief Valve installation. The block of the relief valve was incorrectly installed upside down.2. If the relief valve block is wrongly installed, please proceed with points 3 to 8.3. Refer to the 345B Service Manual (SENR1934) - Remove And Install Hydraulic Oil Tank - 5056-010, Points 1 and 2 - for instructions to carefully release pressure of the hydraulic tank.4. Disconnect the two 1434253 and 1434254 Hoses Assemblies from the 1438144 Relief Valve Group Block.5. Remove the four 8T6466 Bolts and four 8T4121 Washers holding the block.6. Assemble the block in the correct position. Refer to Illustration 1.7. Tighten the four 8T6466 Bolts to 55 10 N m.8. Tighten the two 1434253 and 1434254 Hoses Assemblies to 40 5 N m.
