G3516 (3RC, 8LD) Industrial EnginesA new mixer assembly has been introduced to provide better startability and idle stability for the above engines. The new and current mixer assemblies are identical except for the length and color of the springs.
New 133-7592 Varifuel Mixer Assembly: (1) Spring.New 133-7592 Varifuel Mixer Assembly contains a silver-coated spring 101.6 mm (4.00 in) long. Current 7E-1598 Varifuel Mixer Assembly contains a yellow-coated (or gold-coated) spring 82.6 mm (3.25 in) long. These two mixer assemblies can work in conjunction or alone.
The longer spring in the new mixer assembly will allow a slower opening of the valve when compared with the shorter spring contained in the current mixer assembly. As a result, the slower opening will allow a leaner gas mixture at lower speeds.
Chart 1 illustrates the current configuration and the new configuration of mixture assemblies possible with the three carburetor assemblies used on the above engines.
Chart 2 lists the applicable engines used with the three carburetor assemblies.
