The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
Dealers are not able to activate subscriptions for assigned assets. The Universal Customer Identification (UCID) source system has a Dealer Customer Number (DCN) in mixed case format. Equipment Data (ED) translates the mixed case format to the DCN with all characters in upper case. When ED is pushing the information out tied to the DCN to Dealer Service Portal (DSP), the ED is incorrectly pushing the mixed case format again.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem. The corrective action is applied and this issue will be addressed with the back-office software update before the end of the year.
